This Past Year…..
December 31, 2011 in Uncategorized
Five lessons I learned in 2011.
1. Never assume you know yourself completely. Bad things can happen in your life, and your behaviors, reactions, and the way you cope with certain events may surprise you.
2. Never assume you know the people closest to you as well as you think you do. Even if you’ve known them most of your life, they may still do things that shock you. And possibly not in a good way.
3. No matter how extraordinarily and life-altering painful, all things, at some point, will end.
4. You are 100% capable of doing things you THINK you can not do. Work for it…… work HARD for it, and you will eventually accomplish your goal.
5. Fear is prison. In all aspects of your life…fear will always be there to hold you back. Sometimes some fear can be a good thing, but most of the time, it keeps you from really living.
Here’s hoping to a much better year.
“Insanity is doing the same thing, over and over again, but expecting different results.”
― Albert Einstein
“If you want to succeed in your life, remember this phrase: That past does not equal the future. Because you failed yesterday, or all day today, or a moment ago. All that matters is: What are you going to do, right now?”
“This is your life and its ending one moment at a time.”

One of my favorite post. I like number 4. I hope I’m not one of the people who has “shocked” you this year.
